A free voxel RPG for everyone who missed Cube World: explore, loot and glide across a 64 km world with friends on PC, Linux and Android.

--------------
Cube Unbound is a voxel action RPG and sandbox about wandering off just to see what's over the next hill. You pick one of 10 races (from a frogman who swims like nothing else to a dwarf who lives for mining), each with three skill trees, and step into a procedurally generated world that gets more dangerous the farther you travel: level 1 near spawn, level 500 at the edge, 64 km away across 40 biomes.

The core loop is simple and addictive: explore, fight, loot, grow, build. Dungeons throw faction hordes at you room by room, with traps, secret rooms and a boss that jumps around and wrecks the arena when it's hurt. Loot comes in six rarities, and the good stuff glows. Along the way you tame mounts that run, swim or fly, glide over valleys with a hang glider (fly over a campfire or magma and the hot air lifts you back up), hop on goblin airships between walled cities, or ride stagecoaches that might get ambushed by bandits or wolves. When you need a break, you can fish, farm, cook, mine, build a home, or open your own market stall in the village square and let villagers and friends buy from you.

It's built for playing together. One player hosts, and friends join over LAN or a password-protected dedicated server, with chat and stickers. And they don't need the same device: Windows, Linux and Android all play in the same world.

Why it's worth your time:
- It's free. Alpha 0.2.x is free forever on Windows, Linux and Android, and it keeps getting stability updates. New content arrives in low-cost early-access alphas, so the free version never becomes a demo.
- It runs almost anywhere. The engine is written from scratch in C++ (no Unity, no Unreal): the whole Windows build is a 6 MB zip, needs no installer, and boots on machines as old as Windows 7.
- It respects your time and your PC. No account, no launcher, no always-online. Unzip and play, with friends on your own network if you want.
- It's made for people who missed Cube World. Floating hands and feet, a hang glider, a world worth getting lost in, plus the things fans always wished for: dungeons with hordes, co-op servers and mods.
- It's moddable from day one. Items, creatures, hordes and dungeons are plain data files, and a free mod kit lets you create your own without writing code.
- It's alive. A solo developer from Mexico ships updates every few weeks and reads every bug report on Discord.

Cube Unbound is in alpha, so expect rough edges, but it's very playable and growing fast.
